colors in games like BF2142, BF2, CS, CS:S, HL2: DM, and others. It’s totally unnecessary. Now, when I tried to use this I had a few problems. First, when I was supposed to put in the settings for the chat, I had no idea what was meant by color. Did the author mean “^7” or “White” or “That one white cheese”? Nothing is said about that. I tried “^7” and “White”, but I just got an error message – a long one at that. So what happens when I try to use it in the game? I get this long error message that types itself and just repeats. For this I partially blame the author, because he did not supply adequate documentation. Now I’m going to look at the program itself. The options button on it should have been a menu, rather than a set of input boxes. Sure, it’s a little bit harder to use text boxes to get information, but it looks nicer. Another thing that would’ve worked is a drop down menu for the colors. But the author should have gone with a menu, because if I had wanted to change my colors/pre/postfixes, I would have had to find my JKA directory every time. Another thing with the program is that it had a JA+ run option – that’s unnecessary, because if you run JKA in base mode and join a JA+ server your mod will be set to JA+, and it doesn’t really matter anyways. But the basic synopsis is that this could work, with proper documentation. ~Zach
First off, let me ask something: Why do many people think that there is a need to use colors and or symbols when chatting. Chatting was meant for communication, not eye candy. You don’t see chat
