a random skin, it's... a random skin applied to a story? :p Nah, I wouldn't call this random at all. Judging from the story provided (see the read-me) the cultist sounds like he would very much fit the description. To further help the model along the face has been altered -- grey skin and black goo of some kind dripping from the eyes -- and what seems to be potentially some grunge brushwork over the textures, which are mostly the same as the base textures but slightly different in the hue and saturation departments. Okay, so I just really nicely said "this is a recolor with some paint on it." Oddly enough I actually find it very tasteful. The brushwork is not overbearing and I've always quite liked the design of the cultist. The model really does too much credit to the silly NPCs in the game. They don't deserve such a nice model! My favorite bit about this is the camouflage pattern on the sleeves and part of the legs. It's very subtle, and fits [i]very[/i] well with the color scheme of the rest of the skin. My least favorite part is the face -- the complete greyscale just doesn't seem to fit the rest of the skin. Overall not a bad cultist reskin, though. Definitely better than the average.
