He carries a sawed-off Remington shotgun, which he advertises at the S-Mart, where he works; he also has a chainsaw adapted to where his right hand would normally be had it not been amputated. Alex533 brings us a skin based off of HapSlash's Count Dooku model of Ash Williams from the third film in the horror trilogy, the goofy 1993's "Army of Darkness." With joy, I inform you that HapSlash did not create a model of Count Dooku; he created a model of Christopher Lee in full acting role as Count Dooku. With grief, I inform you that Bruce Campbell, whether he is himself or Ash Williams, is and never will be Christopher Lee. Although the author's choice of the Count Dooku model was a miscalculation, it's not a terrible skin. Colors are how they should be and where they should be, even if the textures are rather plain and dull—but they look that way in the pictures at which I am looking of Ash Williams anyway. The S-Mart skin could have been even plainer than it is now, but there is very little interest in skinning a man wearing an S-Mart uniform; but, this is actually the better of the two skins, because there are no really bad problems with it. The Battle Ash skin on the other hand lacked preciseness and clarity most especially in the chest area, where there seemed to be large gashes or scratches, or ugly make-up that was considered state-of-the-art in 1993. The arms were bare and muscular, but the original model was wearing sleeves, so naturally the muscles just look flat and oily, like paint (it is of course, just paint). The skinning job here could really use a lot of work. Some good sounds other than talking taunts were also missing. When I rolled as Ash Williams, I heard Jaden's high-pitched, nerdy voice. Then I taunted and heard a much more manly man say something. I shouldn't have to hear that nerdy voice paired with Bruce Campbell; the author should have searched the default models included in the game for a deeper sounding voice to at least do the roll sound—Rax Joris, perhaps. He has a stormtrooper's aim. When I added Ash as a bot, he would not even face me when he was trying to shoot me; he seemed to be purposely aiming at least four feet away from me, in a sort of 45° angle from me to the perpendicular direction. Is this his behavior typical in the film, or did Mr. Alex533 not give Ash much skill with a gun? The author knows enough to move forward, but this skin just isn't attractive. Many skins lack detail in areas where the model fails to provide for the character, and this is no exception. Count Dooku was not meant to be Ash Williams. It supports my theory that skins may only be a variation of the character upon which the model is based for a high-quality resemblance. This is only contradicted by the most cunning skinners, and Alex533 has a long way to go before he gets there. Keep going, though. Alex533 makes it only playable because of the model upon which it is based. The model's detail makes it appear more detailed, while in truth the most essential parts of the skin that need more detail are lacking for the very reason of model choice. It's not Christopher Lee anymore, but it isn't Bruce Campbell yet either. —Ra-Kom
