Personally I think this sword looks like something out of Final Fantasy, it has that kind of ‘oversized’ scary look to it! ;) Where the difference comes in is with the other two versions of the sword (single and staff). This time it is not just a sword…but also a lightsaber too! So it’s a sabersword, or a swordsaber, or something like that, the author himself calls it a ‘Bladesaber’. Basically it is the same as the normal sword model, only the middle of the sword is cut out, and is instead filled with the beam of your lightsaber, which I think creates an interesting effect. It’s kind of like a mixture between the traditional old fashioned sword, and the futuristic glowy lightsaber. Personally I think these new hilts look really cool, although there are some things that could be improved upon I feel. Mainly I would like to see a more detailed texture on the actual sword part of the model, the one that is on there at the moment just lacks that ‘certain something’ that bit extra detail, if you know what I mean. The other thing is that I also feel the model itself could do with a bit more 3D detail, although it does already look pretty good. Overall though, an interesting idea for a saber hilt mod here, and personally I think it looks really cool!
