Korriban Duel

-- lava, Marka Ragnos, and fire are main themes -- but it provides some interesting gameplay options. This map is composed of only two rooms. The main room, which is decidedly larger and seems like it would be the main location of combat, consists of a circular platform seemingly floating on a bed of lava. Random locations on the surface of the lava are aflame and the whole platform is surrounded by some custom-made torches (cleverly composed of a brush and the Korriban chandelier model). Naturally the focal point of the room is the large statue of Marka Ragnos. Apparently he had several commissioned... The second room is something of a long hallway -- that leads to nowhere, ironically -- lined on both sides with a couple dozen of those torch pedestals. I don\'t imagine fighting in this hallway would be easy or enjoyable, due to the restrictive nature of the area, so I\'m not sure what use it would be. Other than the repetitive nature of the lava texture, I actually found I had little to complain about in that department. The texturing is actually pretty good, and while the lighting could certainly be better it could also be a whole lot worse. All in all this seems like a very solid map that seems like it would be very appropriate for duels. Might be worth checking out, Korriban fans! Korriban is a popular theme for maps, probably because it\'s the very typical \'Sith\' theme which appeals to a great number of people. This map is very typical of many Korriban maps in several ways
