What is this?

This project is dedicated in completely overhauling all of Team Fortress 2's textures. This will take a very long time so please be patient with me. If you have any textures that you would like added, please send them to me and I will probably add them. Trying to get just the right combination for the textures so that they fit every map is quite hard. At the moment, things might look slightly weird since some of the textures have not been completed yet.

How often will this be updated?

This project should be updated atleast once a week. It depends on how busy I am. I would upload it more frequently but the file takes forever to compress and turn into a vpk since it is 2gb total currently. It took me 1 1/2 hours to do the whole process here and as time goes on it will take longer.

Will this affect performance?

I noticed a 5 fps drop. Other users will have to try it themselves to see if their computers can handle it. Later on, I will release a more performance friendly version. This version will have higher compression and possible lower quality. For now I suggest lowering the textures quality to increase your fps.

Can I help?

I will be creating a studio called Photorealistic TF2 which you can join if you wish to help. You have to be an experienced texturer if you want to join because I want this to look good in the end. I will assign you tasks to do. At the moment, I need someone to do the tree textures. If someone could do that, that would be great!

What do you plan for the future?

The first thing I need to complete is the world textures. Once I have finished these, I will start working on the player textures. After the player textures, I will start adding more variety to the current textures. I am hoping to complete the nature textures for the next update. The file sizes are getting quite big so I might have to release them in 2 parts.

What is an ENB?

ENBSeries is 3d graphic modification for games like TES Skyrim, GTA 4, GTA San Andreas, Deus Ex HR, FSX, and many others. It works by modifying render functions calls of the games and applying additional effects. It's divided to generic versions and exclusive. First category allow to run it on thousands of games, not all effects will work, but you can try several versions of mod to find best suited. Second, exclusive types of the mod, are games specific versions which developed to work with some game and rarely with same game engine. Available effects are SSAO, SSIL, Depth Of Field, Lens FX, Bloom, HDR, Tone Mapping, Sharpening, Vignette, Sun Rays, Shadows, Detailed Shadows, Reflection and others in various versions of them. ENBoost is patch from ENBSeries which reduce memory usage of the games, so you may install much more modifications without crashes and errors, also it better utilize video memory of modern videocard.

Will you add an ENB?

I am currently waiting for a response from valve about allowing the use of ENB in tf2. At the current moment, it will get you vac banned. I will probably use the Realvision ENB from Skyrim Nexus but slightly edited so that it fits tf2. The depth of field will be disabled because that can make it harder to play the game. If you would like to use my sweetfx, it is located in the game files section. The screenshots are made with the highest vibrance. I suggest using the my settings or you can create your own by editing the sweetfx_settings file.
