WOW, I took awhile to finish this! Another little thing I've taken forever to upload. I'm lazy. Yes. Quite.

Anyhow, to put it simply, this lightwarp separates the Red and Blu team's lightwarps to 'color code' the teams and buildings, even further than everything else already present in the game to tell you which is Red, and which is Blue. Screenshots really don't do it justice, however. This changes all nine classes and the Engineer's buildings. What this does NOT change:

  • Gibs (intentional)
  • Weapons, even ones that are team colored (intentional)
  • First Person Hands (Conflicting/inconsistent, so I didn't bother)
  • HWM lightwarps (Couldn't be bothered/lazy)

                 **** **WARNING** ****

This changes the Class VMTs, as well as the building VMTs. If you are currently using a class skin or pack- Like for instance, the TF2 Texture Improvement Pack. You're gonna have to make some edits to THAT pack for this to be "compatible." To make it compatible:

  • First, install this lightwarp skin FIRST.
  • Second, Install the pack that is incompatible.
  • Third, with VTFedit, or Notepad++, go through each VMT found in the lightwarp pack that corresponds to the VMTs you installed from the pack and edit them individually. (No other way, I'm afraid.)

Say, for example you have the Pyro, which has, among others, 'pyro_red.vmt' and 'pyro_blue.vmt'.

On "pyro_blue.vmt", you'd find a line that looks like this:

"$lightwarptexture" "models/player/pyro/pyro_lightwarp"

And this what it should look like:

"$lightwarptexture" "models/player/pyro/pyro_lightwarp_blue"

Red:

"$lightwarptexture" "models/player/pyro/pyro_lightwarp_red"

Yes. Do that for all of them. Do it. Tedious, isn't it? Sentries and toolbox: Just add '_ red' and '_ blue' like the character VMTs.
