This texture hack does not replace any of the 8 color slots for Olimar. It instead, uses its own color slot, which, in this case, is the 9th color slot (c08 and l08). To use this texture hack, you need to edit a file named ui_character_db.bin.
ui_character_db.bin can be found in the following directory...
data/param/ui/
To edit ui_character_db.bin, you will need a parameter editing tool. You must then look for Entry[27] inside Group[1]; that entry is for Olimar.
Name 7 is the amount of color slots that Olimar has. Names 21 through 52 play a factor on which voice clips Olimar will use (despite not having any), along with affecting which character name will be displayed. The values range from...
1 = Olimar 5 = Alph
After making the changes to ui_character_db.bin, make sure that you implement it onto ALL the language folders so that the changes are applied for any language you're using.
Lastly, when using Sm4shExplorer to pack your mod, you will have to make sure that the extra color slot folders that are inside the following directory are set to be packed.
data/fighter/pikmin/model/body/
Custom portraits and a custom stock icon are also included, and they will be packed for you when the mod is created.
Credits go to RandomTBush for his 3ds Max script, as his script really helped me with properly changing the texture IDs for Olimar's models. The download does include a text document, which tells you this texture's texture ID.
I do want to point out, however, that there is an issue in regards to the narrator and crowd for Olimar, since for color slots 9 through 16, the game is programmed to have the narrator and crowd say "Alph". You will have to edit ui_sound_call_voice_db.bin if you want to change which names the narrator will say on the character select screen. In the case of Olimar, you'll have to look for Entry[26] inside Group[1]. The narrator's voice clip IDs for Olimar and Alph are as follows...
3670040 = Olimar 3670084 = Alph
Sadly, editing ui_sound_call_voice_db.bin does not affect the narrator's voice clips for the results screen, so there has to be something in the Smash Wii U ISO that controls the narrator's results screen voice clips, along with the crowd cheer voice clips.
