Game Boy Mario

Super Mario Land's pretty awesome, it's been forever since I played it. Posting this is making me want to do so again, might get to it later. Speaking of, it's actually surprisingly hard to find decent screencaps of that that are actually in green and yellow instead of in black and white.

But yeah, in the tradition of that, here's Mario with the GameBoy palette! A simple yet actually slightly time-consuming mod, mostly due to having to go through and recolor everything into one of the four colors used in this. Not exactly anything that's going to blow anyone's mind though, and not like it was hard, just took a bit.

This is set up for a new slot, just rename the folder to wherever you want to put it. I've wondered about trying something like this for some other characters who appeared on the original Game Boy, what I can think of onhand with those being Luigi, Wario, Peach, Bowser, Yoshi, Dr. Mario, Game & Watch, Link, Kirby, Dedede, the Gen 1 Pokemon, Pac-Man, Mega Man, Pit, Palutena, and Samus, but I wouldn't go expecting me to do anywhere close to all of those. Really wouldn't even expect one more, it just comes down to if I ever get in the mood and if this one goes over well, I dunno. For now enjoy Mario in all his handheld glory.
