I said I'd release this for The Specialists years ago when I actually modelled this (2007 or so), so here we are! Last time I tried to join a game though, only 5 people were playing, and it was on some dumb kung-fu only server. But still, PROMISE FULFILLED

TS has bots though, which are fun to play against if you fill your server with them and try not to die. Yay!

On a side note, the render says it's on a 1024 but here it's on the 512s it was originally textured on (which were fit onto a 1024 for newer games. Just too lazy to change the render).

**IF YOU WANT TO MAKE YOUR GAME ALLOW HIGH-RES TEXTURES (such as used on this): find 'config.cfg' in your game directory, and add

gl_max_size 1024 

in there. Save, and change the file to 'read-only'. By default, Half-Life and games based on it have this set to '256' which shrinks any textures larger than that. The 1024 is so it can handle 256x1024 size textures which are technically equal in size to a 512x512.**

CONDITIONS OF USE

  • You may NOT use this in your mod/game/pack.
  • Don't use this model to recompile onto newer games, as the textures are split onto several 512s. The version on one 1024 (with normal maps etc) is available in raw format here.
  • If you try to take credit for this or otherwise screw me over, realise that I have the original .max files, old WIP images, and years of WIP posts proving me to be the author. The law won't be on your side either :]

CONTENTS

-View model (v_usas.mdl). Haven't got round to making W/P models, and since the default is a USAS too, does it really matter? I'll make them if anyone really wants them, but I have doubts if anyone'll actually use this to begin with given how dead TS is. I've got a 'highpoly TS W/P pack' uploaded here too if that'd make you happier, which is basically the default V models ported to the W/P models.
