Description

Alternate Start v3 by Dung Beetle

Now you can start in any of the purchasable houses in Cyrodiil. Bravil, Bruma, Cheydinhal, Chorrol, Waterfront, Leyawiin, Skingrad - or you can go through the Prison (without the tutorial text), or be homeless (use the Dirty Mat "door"), which starts you in Barren Cave.

All official mods up til now will start as soon as you step out of the house or go through the tutorial dungeon or exit the doors in Kvatch or Barren Cave.

To start the MQ when starting in Kvatch, go to the camp and look for a scroll on a table and grab it.

Each place but the cave has a weapon to start with (Dad's Old Iron Shortsword, Dad's Steel Longsword, and Dad's Fine Steel Longsword

Depending on how rich you start out, you'll want to check the chests in the house for some money. On your front porch is the letter from an injured prisoner who left the AOK for whoever lives at that house. (it will be you every time until I can think of a more imaginative and complex way of handing it off)

If you don't want to start the MQ you don't really have to, but I have no idea what the game will do if you don't. This may have issues with existing saves, so you may want to disable this if playing an existing character.

Nothing special was added except an invisible door and a key to every house (and only then if that's the house you start in).

05-13-06 Fixed many problems with visits by tut dungeon folks, MQ scrolls shouldn't disappear anymore, lets weather return to random operations, fast travel shouldn't leak anymore.

May have issues with saves that weren't started with AltStart. You may want to disable this when playing those characters.

Updated again on May 19 to fix for sale signs and a couple small things. No real need to update, just a little fix. Removed Kvatch until I can fix the gate problem.
