ULK 11 GERAKHAS Antigas Regiment

Formed on 1 April 1981 with under Nelson Glory Project, 11 RGK with four squadrons such as Sierra, Tango, Uniform and Victor, however Victor Squad was non-active which trained by the SAS as it specialises in the more refined special forces arts of sabotage, Hostage Rescue, Special Boat Squadron, Counter-Revolutionary Warfare etc. This regiment is smaller compared to 21st and 22nd Commando, and is organised into 4 Sabre Squadrons. Only those who have served no less than 6 years in the Commando Regiments are eligible for selection.The mission of the 11 RGK is to provide a squadron to locate, report, harass and disrupt the enemy through long range infiltration as well as operating in close collaboration with guerilla or partisan forces. RGK will also plan, prepare for, and when directed, deploy to conduct unconventional warfare, internal defense, special reconnaissance and direct actions etc. In support of Government policy objectives within designated areas of responsibility. The troopers are also schooled in direct action operations and special reconnaissance. RGK had seen action in Cambodia, Somalia (also involved tor rescued the trapped US Rangers and Delta Force in the gunfight at Bakhara Market, Mogadishu, Somalia by General Mohamed Farah Aidid militant army. As well as, the team involved in combat, search and rescue operations the US-Super Six One wreckage which was the mobility kill), western Sahara, Namibia and Bosnia among others.
