Backstory:
Eightball Mining Facility has been on Mars ever since it was
discovered that the planet has rich supply of a liquid that has
extraordinary capabilities of restoring organic tissue. The liquid
would be usually found in small craters under the surface
of the red planet.
After numerous terraforming attempts Mars had finally been made
habitable by humans, and so the construction of many mining facilities
and bases had begun. Eightball Mining Facility was one of the first,
and after many years of operation the equipment and the facility
itself had become outworn. The facility still operates, but not to
the extent it used to. There have been plans to renovate it, but to
this day the plans remain plans.

Description:
dm_eightball is a medium sized map with a lot of cramped areas
and one huge open area suitable for gaussjumping. The layout takes
the shape of an 8 (hence the name). The map contains a number of
features.
In the open area there is a passage that leads to a small cave
with a crater of healing liquid inside, which restores 5 HP per second.
In the same place there is a generator that can be turned off
for a very short period, causing all lights in the area to go dark.
Nearby there is a pile of crates, the top one of which is explosive.
The garage door connects the giantic cavern with the garage.
The door is controlled by a switch in the garage and can be opened
or closed. In the garage there's also a vent which leads to the
Gluon Gun and can only be accessed with gaussjumping.
In the hallway made of rusty metal sheets there's a vent blocked
with breakable vent caps on either sides. It allows to quickly move
from one area to the other.
The map is very poorly optimised and barely has any vis-blockers,
therefore it's suggested to not play it if your machine isn't very
powerful, or not put it on your server if you don't want the players
with weaker setups to suffer from FPS drops.
