can configured independently Alert sound can be any .wav file you have available chat text can be echoed overhead (only recommended for infrequent text such as tells.) Installation: If you have not installed a mod previously, there are a couple of tasks to perform: 1. Go to your main WoW directory 2. If the folder Interface does not exist, create it 3. In the folder Interface, create the folder Addons After 3, or if you already have an interface folder 4. Move the ChatWatch directory to the addons folder. Finally - you must put the sounds you will use in the World of Warcraft/data directory. Among others you can use the .wav s from your /windows/media folder and a zip of sounds I have on my site. Included in this zip is dog_bark_x.wav. This is the default sound, copy it to the World Of Warcraft/data directory. Now - either log into WoW or, if you are already in, type /console reloadui to load the mod. Useage: /chatwatch all by itself will give you the useage statement /chatwatch enable turns on chatwatch /chatwatch disable turns off chatwatch /chatwatch reset restores defaults /chatwatch status displays the current chatwatch settings /chatwatch add turns on watching on channel can be one of: whisper, yell, channel(*), party, guild, raid. /chatwatch remove turns off watching on channel can be one of: whisper, yell, channel(*), party, guild, raid. /chatwatch setsound sets a new sound for that channel\'s alert. The sound file must be in the World of Warcraft/data directory, it must be a .wav and you omit the extension in the command. /chatwatch overheadon turns on echoing of chat messages overhead. Use this sparingly, as a busy channel will spam too fast to read. /chatwatch overheadoff turns off echoing of chat messages overhead. * Turning on Channle simply enables custom chat channel watching - you must use /channelwatch to add the various channels. Turning off channel will stop the alerts from sounding on channel messages, but not change the settings. Simply turning channel back on will return to the way they were running. /ChannelWatch all by itself will give you the useage statement /ChannelWatch add turns on watching on channel Channel is the name of the channel to watch: examples are general, worlddefense, trade. /ChannelWatch remove turns off watching on channel /ChannelWatch setsound sets a new sound for that channel\'s alert. The sound file must be in the World of Warcraft/data directory, it must be a .wav and you omit the extension in the command. /ChannelWatch overheadon turns on echoing of chat messages overhead. Use this sparingly, as a busy channel will spam too fast to read. /ChannelWatch overheadoff turns off echoing of chat messages overhead. Example: I copy dog_bark_x.wav ploop.wav gong.wav to my World of Warcraft/data directory I copy the ChatWatch directory to my World of Warcraft/Interface/Addons directory. I log in (or type /console reloadui) to load the mod. At this time, ChatWatch is on, but no channels are being watched. (type /chatwatch status to see this) I want a gong to sound when I get a tell - /ChatWatch add Whisper /ChatWatch setsound Whisper gong next, I want the dog to bark and the message to display overhead when I get a message in my guilds raid heal channel (AuxHeal in my old EQ guild - so we\'ll use it). /ChatWatch add Channel to enable channel watching /ChannelWatch add AuxHeal /ChannelWatch overheadon AuxHeal to watch AuxHeal (defaults to dog_bark_x) and display it over my head. /ChannelWatch status to see how things look After the raid I want my channels turned off, but don\'t want to lose my setting on auxheal, so I just: /ChatWatch remove Channel Note - all channel names and soundfile names are case insensitive. Commands are case sensitive at the moment, however. if you have any questions please comment them below :D
