to really push the "old" feel (with brightly colored UT characters and weapon effects, it would make a cool contrast) but I didn't really have the time to develop the texture set for that. So instead I went for muted yellow sunlight, burnt clouds, a bit of snow, and a bunch of old toys from my youth. Most of you are probably too young to remember things like "Gnip Gnop" or "Merlin", so we'll call those "in jokes" for the very few who would know what they are. Sandbox is really just an experiment in scale, seeing if normally small things could work in a monumental scale. I built almost all of the meshes (except the excellent dead tree and the shrubs) and made a lot of original textures, thus the heavy download.
