To alleviate the inherent design flaws of the cerebus that prevent long missions and the lack of accomodation, parts of the Miranda-esque roll-bar were to be made accomodateable, and the Excelsior-refit saucer was used to further increase accomdations. Fitted with up to date weapons, engines, and two squadrons of fighters and a compliment of shuttle craft, the Minotaur was meant to be the new fast dreadnought of the fleet, but the cost to build the ship made the previous DNF more sensible.
