Determined to make a difference in the war effort, Rogers eagerly accepted the offer; after weeks of tests and training, he was injected with the experimental Super Soldier Serum and exposed to low-level radiation to enhance the formula’s effectiveness. Rogers emerged from the treatment with a perfect body. Following extensive combat training and extreme physical conditioning, Rogers was deemed fit for active duty as the Army\'s ultimate weapon -- and the single-minded embodiment of America\'s fighting spirit. The military first deployed Captain America to the European Theater of Operations. Serving as an Army private, Rogers transferred from base to base, going wherever Captain America was needed. Opposing Hitler, the Red Skull and Axis forces at every turn, he led his fellow soldiers into battle and served selflessly as a living, breathing symbol of a nation.
