couple of things I don\'t. I\'ll start with what I do like. First of all, I like the whole concept of putting the Rodian\'s clothing textures on a human model. I think it looks awesome - two things that were meant to go together. You get something of a rugged look by marrying the dark black pants and the white shirt, along with the overly long black gloves. It\'s a unique look, and definitely has a \"Nar Shaddaa scoundrel\" feel to it. I also like the concept of giving the Forloc skin blonde hair, though it could have been executed much better... but I\'ll get back to that. Another interesting thing was not only adding team skins, but extra colors such as green, orange, and purple. While I honestly can\'t imagine a Nar Shaddaa man wearing that shade of magenta, the idea itself is really neat, and while not new, authors don\'t usually spend extra effort to make extra variations. I don\'t know why. Variation is almost never bad, because even if a particular variant is unsavory, you have several others to choose from smile Now onto the bad. I hesitate to call it \"bad\" because it\'s really more of an experience thing, as in with more experience these kinds of errors get fixed. My major beef is with the hair/beard. They look AWFUL anywhere other than 5+ feet away. There\'s a good reason, too. The outlining of the hair is bad. Yes, I could be nice and subtle about it, but that wouldn\'t get the point across of how bad it is. This is where a feather tool comes in handy. Trust me when I say it will look muhc better if you see some dark hair poking out at the ends than having hard lines where you\'ve accidentally recolored some of the skin in addition to the hair. As I said, this kind of skinning takes time and practice to perfect. Recoloring hair (well) is one of the harder types of skinning. I think most people would rather just repaint the hair stick out tongue. Now I was very blunt about that, but that\'s because it needs work, and I don\'t want the author to not work on it because he thinks \"Oh, well she only thought it was kind of bad.\" No. It\'s awful. Practice it and get better. I want to see improvement next time! *feels like a raving English teacher* So remember, don\'t stop! Just improve. The blonde hair\'s a really good idea, you just need to do it better to make it look awesome, otherwise it tends to come out drab, or look like he dipped his head in a vat of offwhite paint. I do like these skins, however. Another instance where simplicity takes the cake.
You know, I love it when people take my advice. Even if they take my advice from someone else. I like to see the bad parts get fixed. And while by no means would I call this a perfect fix, it\'s a night and day difference. I\'m talking about the blonde beard, of course. The author took the blonde and blended it it into the flesh, so it didn\'t look like a hard, bright line. There is still a problem, however. Along the edges of the hair, especially the bangs, you can see a much brighter outline. It\'s still blended pretty well with the flesh, but it\'s kind of icky looking. This is very typical among hair coloration when going from dark to light. Even so, it looks 100% better than the first time around. Such improvement from on version to the next, even on something that seems trivial like this, makes me warm and fuzzy inside. The original Nar Shaddaa citizen, and the body of the Forloc skin, seem unchanged. The only difference between Nar Shaddaa citizen and Forloc are the face, so I\'m not going to bother posting another screenshot of it (you can find the original screenshot in the original file, which I linked to at the very top of the review). Way to go on fixing the problem with the hair, Forloc, and kudos on working on getting it perfect! You\'ve already shown you have the potential for just that.
