Backstory: Following the conquest of Tatooine during the early years of the Empire, Grand Moff Tarkin decided to construct a military base in a desolate canyon, which is the only passage through the region. Due to the unceasing sandstorms that plague this area of Tatooine (thereby making air travel difficult indeed), a large bridge was built spanning the chasm, at the small town of Mos Osnoe.
