actualy slightly less powerfull than the Firehawk class, and the ship itself is 25m shorter, so it is considered a pocket DN, rather than a true DN. It's design push came from a single senator, who used it as his flagship during trials, and when the class upgrades were officlly ordered, it was refered to as the Senator class. The class would be upgraded in later era's as well, though the actual act of refitting the Sparrow class to DN would cease after a short time, and only a handfull survive the dominion war. The sparrow class production would continue, however. The lost era version contained in this download gives minor upgrades to various systems, includign a power boost to all disruptors, pulse cannons, and a newer, more powerfull MKVII torpedo. Shields have been upgraded, as well as the addition of hull armor and a noticleable difference in exterior markings. It also seems that the thruster control system has been given a slight tweak, as some enemy commanders have noticed the ships seem to be slighty faster on the turn.
