Uss Enterprise Phase2 [sfrd]

The ship is fitted with new pylons and more narrow rectangular nacelles; the neck is reinforced and fitted with a new torpedo launcher. The secondary hull is redesigned specifically the deflector dish and surrounding areas. The saucer is left largely untouched except for modification of the hull patterning. This refit was completed in 2271 and left on training missions around the sol system, during this time Chief Engineer Montgomery Scott discovered many improvements that could have been made during the refit, by April 6th of that year the Enterprise returned to space dock and “Scotty” approached Starfleet Command and submitted a new proposal concerning the Constitution Class Refit. This proposal drastically improves on the current Phase 2 refit and it is up to Starfleet Command to decide on its viability. In 2270 the USS Enterprise NCC1701 returns to Earth, a symbol of Starfleet and the Federation. In the early part of the year the Enterprise is put into space dock and a massive refit is undertaken.
