This ship is heavily armed, including several phaser arrays, photon and quantum torpedo tubes as well as the main phaser on the underside of the saucer section. This ship can easily take on most of the ships from the TNG Period, although will struggle against the biggest ships (unless you fire continuous torpedoes at the target).
