Rather than having all the vital systems at the centre of the cube (so they are nearly impossible to destroy/disable) it has a lot of systems placed on the surface of the hull such as shields etc....This makes it more enjoyable and much fairer game for your fleets eventhough the fusion cube is supposed to be ferociously powerful. Some of the beams are a little to wide and the torpedoes are odd, but these are only small nit-picks.
